The basic idea behind Fridai has always been to build an AI that behaves like a friend sitting with you while playing your favorite games — because we all remember how much fun it was to play together with our friends as kids. With an AI friend, of course, the experience will be different, but if we can make even a slight resemblance of how that felt, we will have built a truly amazing helper for games.

On the user experience side of this, our goal is to help everyone who enjoys gaming access information in a different way, without…

Since the early 2000s, the gaming industry has gone through a great transformation, especially when it comes to the business model. Lots of game publishers have shifted from one-off game sales to the microtransaction model. Instead of parting with huge chunks of money to acquire a video game, gamers can now download their favorites for free or at significantly reduced prices. Eventually, nothing is truly free, so game publishers try to get them to make in-game purchases for particular virtual products to offer a better experience or in some cases give a competitive edge while helping their businesses remain profitable…

Late 2019 marked the genesis of a disease outbreak that would throw the entire world in confusion a few months later. As the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic continues to wreak havoc across the globe, its crises, no matter how ugly and ruthless they look, they have a positive side. “Positive side? Are you crazy,” you ask. Well, honestly speaking, blessings can exist amid catastrophes. COVID19 calamities present one advantage: they lead to the invention of new solutions to problems prevailing in different spheres of life, especially as a result of coronavirus disease. …

The gaming industry has been experiencing a significant growth year by year. According to WePC, the value of the global video games market is projected to be more than 90 billion U.S. dollars by the end of this year (2020). But is this the ceiling? Well, definitely no. There are lots of opportunities available for game publishers and developers to increase their revenues.

What Influences Game Revenues?

The amount of revenue that a developer or publisher earns from the game is highly dependent on the number of hours that gamers spend actively on the game.

The short answer to this is that Fridai is the gamer assistant built for gamers — by gamers.

Man, don’t we all love gaming

But for the longer answer we have to start looking at virtual assistants as a whole.
Virtual assistants, as the name implies, serve to ‘assist’ you in automating tasks that would otherwise require human input, and effort.
These tasks can include anything; from logging in to Spotify to play music, to controlling your home’s thermostat. If you’re one for smart home devices, you can even control your microwave with these digital assistants!
Since virtual assistants are continuously connected to their cloud backup, updates and…

When we finished with all the user interviews explained in Part 1, we actually started whiteboarding the product. It’s fun to think back, I never would’ve thought we will end up working on our own startup. The way we started the process is that we’ve wrote down every single pain point we’ve discovered during the interviews and came up with some features that would be an awesome solution for each of those.

This was the easy part.

Coming up with tons of ideas where we could be helpful was really easy, we never considered if it’s feasible technologically, we just…

I’ve always been into A.I. Ever since I was a kid, I remember my favorite TV shows and movies were the ones where the hero had some sort of a companion, being either a computer, robot or anything that was a form of Artificial Intelligence. It didn’t matter if it was K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider or Iron Man’s J.A.R.V.I.S., I loved the fact that they conversed with them and had a companion helping them with their

So, naturally when the first lines of Alexas and Google Voice Assistants came out I was ecstatic. I had to get them…
